Danny De León

Danny is the Senior Pastor of Templo Calvario, he began ministering at the church in 1976. Within two years, the church grew from 60 to 750. In 1985, the church moved to a 1,400-seat facility — with Billy Graham as the keynote speaker. Templo Calvario is now one of the largest bilingual Hispanic congregations in the United States. Under de León’s leadership, Templo Calvario has established over 93 satellite churches in the United States and in Latin America.
Danny is on the Global Council of Empowered21, chaired by Billy Wilson (President of Oral Roberts University) and George O. Wood (Global Overseer of Assemblies of God).
Danny is the Executive Presbyter of the Assemblies of God, for the nine Hispanic districts west of the Mississippi.
Danny served seven years as a regional youth director for the Assemblies of God.
Danny studied at Vanguard University, part of the Assemblies of God.
Danny is also active on many boards and has hosted the 700 Club in Spanish, which is seen throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, Australia, Spain, and many parts of the United States.
Danny is a Contributor to Enlace (part of TBN).
Danny has been a frequent guest of the White House and Capitol Hill to speak on matters that are of a concern to the Hispanic community.
Danny has been a Contributor and Keynote Speaker for Promise Keepers.
Danny is married to Ruth De León, their son Danny de León Jr. is the Executive Pastor of Templo Calvario.
